ART AS WORSHIP

Scott Maynard

Artist Profile

Over the last few years Scott Maynard, an artist and art teacher at Faith Christian School in Roanoke, VA, has been learning what it means to use his gift of painting in the setting of corporate worship. These paintings are a response to the work of the Holy Spirit and often align perfectly with various things that God wants to do or say within the Body of Christ. So, in a sense, they are an offering...an offering of worship to God that He uses to encourage His Church. Scott has been married to his wife Deb for 31 years and they have six children ranging from age 15-26. They have been attending Christian Life International for about 10 years.

PRINTS OF SCOTT MAYNARD’S ARTWORK ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.

ARTS AS WORSHIP

God is on the move. He is reclaiming the visual arts, through His Church, for His Church, and the world. All over the world, God is moving in local churches to call out, lift up, and ignite those He has gifted to enhance what He is doing in the Church and to communicate His Word to the nations. It appears that He is on the move at CLI Church as well.

Scott Maynard leads the group in sharing what God is doing in his life through visual arts and allowing time for others to share in the same way. Arts As Worship meets once a month - check the church calendar for updates dates and times.
